Once we have received your application

Time frames for processing applications will vary according to each application and often depend on the nature of the buildings. An outline of the process is given below:

  • Once your application has been received it will be processed by the Licence Team and passed to relevant Officers around the City Corporation for them to act upon.
  • You will then be contacted to arrange a first inspection of the proposed venue by the District Surveyors and Access Team - following that inspection, there may be works required before a licence can be issued.
  • If works were required then the venue will have to have a second inspection by District Surveyors and/or the Access Team following completion.
  • Once the District Surveyors and Access Teams are happy with the venue, the Superintendent Registrar will be in touch to arrange a further inspection.
  • Once all parties are satisfied the venue is suitable a licence will be issued.
