Volunteer Brokerage Service

​Our volunteer brokerage service, City Action, and all existing programme memberships has now closed.  Below are just some of the organisations within the Corporation, as well as other volunteering brokerage services, that can help businesses and community organisations continue on their skilled volunteering journey. (Please be aware that some of these may incur a cost).

The City of London is committed to creating a more inclusive, responsible and competitive City that contributes to London and the UK, and we know that business involvement in communities, and employee volunteering, play a significant part.

City Bridge Trust

​City Bridge Trust is the City of London Corporation's charitable foundation.

For community organisations

It provides grants totalling around £20million per year towards charitable activity benefitting Greater London.

Heart of the City

​Heart of the City is the UK's largest responsible small business network, although they support businesses of all sizes.

 

For businesses

By acting as a membership hub, Heart of the City give businesses in London the tools to measurably improve society and demonstrate responsibility. To join the programme, contact sahsine.suleyman@cityoflondon.gov.uk

 

For community organisations

You can join heart of the City's "Find a Charity" tool - a pan London map providing businesses with information on local community needs and charities they can partner with.

Benefacto

​Benefacto is a social enterprise dedicated to supporting businesses to develop meaningful corporate volunteering programmes.

BeyondMe

BeyondMe is a growing movement of professionals and charities joining together to move the dial on some of society's toughest ideas.

Business in the Community

​Business in the Community is the Prince's Responsible Network, a unique group of leading companies committed to acting responsibly as an employer, neighbour, customer and supplier.

 

For businesses

Businesses are able to become members of the network and access 30 years' experience of championing responsible business. Contact hannah.shanks@bitc.org.uk

 

For community organisations

The Community Engagement team works with businesses to support local communities by helping them to udnerstand key issues, create local networks and broker relationships with community organisations. To benefit from this, contact olivia.allaway@bitc.org.uk

 

 

 

Reach Volunteering

​Reach Volunteering connects people who want to volunteer their professional expertise with the charities that need them.  They provide a free online matching service and bespoke services for businesses including a board placement service.

School Governors One Stop Shop

​School Governors One Stop Shop (SGOSS) are the school governor recruitment experts.

 

For businesses

Team London

Team London is Mayor Sadiq Khan's volunteering programme for London.
