    No Colour Bar: Black British Art in Action 1960-1990, (Guildhall Art Gallery, 2015-2016) examined the impact of Black narratives, through the art, social and political activism of that period. With a 21st century eye, and coinciding with the legacy publication launch, we revisit the questions posed through sharp, creative provocations.

    We know a tremendous amount about trials held at the Old Bailey in the 19th century. Exploring this knowledge places flesh on dead bones, puts words in dead mouths, and helps us understand that most dramatic moment when a defendant emerged from the cells to a trial that could lead to exile, death or imprisonment.
