    The Clerkenwell Outrage happened on 13 December 1867. The Irish Republican Brotherhood ('Fenians'), exploded a bomb to free one of their members in Clerkenwell Prison. Houses were damaged and 12 people killed but the plan failed. A relief fund was set up and this talk offers fascinating insights into the event.
