In this creative Material culture – the physical objects and spaces produced by people – offers a fantastic insight into the sights, sounds, smells, tastes and textures of the past. In this creative writing workshop, learn how to use evidence about everyday objects to bring history to life. This is one of three workshops on writing historical fiction. The Wolfenden Report (1957) provided a catalyst for campaigns supporting homosexual rights. In 1958 the Homosexual Law Reform Society was established. In the following years other groups formed, including the Campaign for Homosexual Equality and the Gay Liberation Front.
