    Event description:
Meet: at the Aquatic Centre entrance nearest station Stratford (Central, Jubilee, Overground, DLR and TfL lines). Choosing Stratford as the site for the 2012 Olympic bid offered the opportunity for regeneration of a neglected area of east London. Come and explore the park halfway through a controversial 10-year development plan - a mix of post-Olympic leisure, commercial and residential schemes across a landscaped riverside location. Writing Historical Fiction
Date:

Time:
18:00 - 20:00
Location:
London Metropolitan Archives
Cost:
£10 - booking essential

Historical fiction allows us to explore the untold stories of ordinary people. In this creative writing workshop, we will use documents from the archive to imagine the stories of people who walked, talked, ate, drank and worked in London’s streets. This is one of three workshops on writing historical fiction this autumn. You are welcome to book them individually or to attend all three. See entries for 24 October and 21 November. Facilitator: Anna James.
