Bartholomew Fair 2023 is a reimagining of a historic event with a modern twist to celebrate the City of London’s heritage and contemporary culture.

Over three weeks, from 31 August – 16 September, there will be a series of free stunning performances and cultural events taking place in different spaces across the City. 

Highlights include: spectacular vertical dance performances the City's famous Cathedral; evening projection installations that tell stories of the City; and a special edition artist-led night-time walking tour.

Bartholomew Fair dates back to the 12th century and was last held in 1855. Beginning as a fair for cloth trade merchants to exchange goods, it quickly became a major London event, entertaining visitors for over 700 years.
