    John Wilkes, radical politician, was imprisoned by the King's Bench on 10 May 1768, for sedition and libel. Wilkes supporters protested. Troops opened fire, killing seven people in what came to be known as the St George's Fields Massacre. This talk explores Wilkes’ political career 250 years after this terrible event.

    In 1831 John Rennie’s new London Bridge opened. By the 1960s the bridge was sinking, and it was decided the best solution was building a new bridge. In 1968 Rennie's London Bridge was sold at auction and moved to Arizona. This talk explores this remarkable story.
