Award winning writer Akila Richards, says ‘Freedom in democracy is viewed as a right and an entitlement, but freedom to vote, be educated, be free from slavery, to love or exercise artistic expression, had to be fought for with courage and loss of life. There is no guarantee that these acquired freedoms will remain.’ Using archives on the suffragette movement explore your freedoms and what it may take to keep them.
