    Event description:
Meet Goodge St station (Northern line) street level. In the First World War  London became home to thousands of soldiers of many nations, countless hospitals treating hundreds of thousands of wounded. War swallowed up a generation of men and brought new opportunities for women. We will walk through a London changed forever as the German and Austrian communities in our midst became our enemies and potential spies. Led by Chris Everett, City Highlights.
