Free summer concerts in the City from London Youth Choirs

Singing in the City

300 talented youngsters will sing at five free pop-up gigs at places and spaces across London in June and July - four concerts in the City of London and one in Ealing.

The young singers will appear at a range of iconic and unusual venues including Leadenhall Market, the Sky Garden, Devonshire Square, and UBS Broadgate. See below for dates and timing for each location.

The ‘Singing in the City’ series is supported by City of London’s ‘Inspiring London through Culture’ programme and partnered with the charity Music in Offices. Guest choirs Devonshire Square Choir and the UBS Choir will also each make an appearance.

About London Youth Choirs

London Youth Choirs was founded in 2012 and currently runs 9 choirs for children and young people aged 7 to 23 after school during term-time. Auditions are free and LYC is dedicated to removing all barriers to access with subsidised fees for all members and financial assistance available to support families with all costs of taking part including pre-paid Oyster cards for travel to and from rehearsals, and concert tickets for families.

All members receive top-class musical coaching and pastoral care and support, and exciting performance opportunities in the form of concerts, recordings and broadcasts, with notable appearances at the Royal Albert Hall and Glastonbury Festival alongside artists including The London Philharmonic Orchestra, The Rolling Stones, Ellie Goulding, Mika and Gareth Malone.

Most recently, London Youth Choir members appeared at the Platinum Party at the Palace concert for The Queen’s Jubilee, alongside Andrew Lloyd Webber, Lin-Manuel Miranda and the casts of six West End Musicals,
