Barbican Estate Updates

Barbican Estate

Barbican Estate

To improve performance for the benefit of residents, the Barbican Estate Office has established clear timescales and targets to promote accountability with service providers.

Barbican Concrete Repairs Programme

Please find here the repairs programme (211KB) for the whole estate. This programme is subject to change due to external forces.

The concrete repairs process is as follows:

  • A survey is undertaken to determine where repairs are required and highlighted.
  • The breaking out works then take place followed by the installation of the new materials.
  • Our Clerk of Works inspects and monitors each stage closely and reports any findings.

A clear glaze coating is applied where necessary and then finally these works are inspected and signed off by the Clerk of Works, once he is satisfied the work is completed to a quality expected by the City of London Corporation.

Barbican Cold Water Storage Tanks Project

The City of London Corporation will be carrying out works to the cold-water storage tanks across the Barbican Estate. The works are to replace or repair existing water storage and ancillary equipment associated with the supply of hot and cold-water services. Not all residents will be affected by the works. A letter will go out to only those residents affected, outlining exact details of isolation times / cut off periods.

Download the schedule of works (123KB) for the whole estate. This programme is subject to change due to external forces.

Should you have any queries or concerns about any of the above projects. please contact the allocated Project Manager, Neil Clutterbuck on 0207 332 3427 or email Neil Clutterbuck
