Community centres in the City of London

​Artizan Street Library and Community Centre

Situated in the East of the City, this library and community centre provides space for many community activities.


Golden Lane Community Centre

Fann Street, London EC1Y 0RN

Located on the Golden Lane Estate, the centre hosts various meetings and clubs.


Portsoken Health and Community Centre

14 -16 Little Somerset Street, off Mansell Street, London E1 8AH

There are a range of activities taking place at this Community Centre, run by the City Corporation, which are open to anyone living in the Portsoken Ward, including the Mansell Street and Middlesex Street Estates.

The health centre is run by City Wellbeing Practice, which provides services including child health, Foot clinic, smoking cessation, family planning and sexual health, and a diabetes clinic. There is usually a Bengali speaking worker on site.

A new community centre has been designed as part of the developments next to Mansell Street Estate. You can view the designs here or visit the Green Box or Artizan Street Library between now and the end of October.


Ralph Perrin Club

A social club for people over 60 who are City residents or who have previously worked for the City Corporation. The club meets in its own club room in the Golden Lane Estate, and members can participate in a variety of activities. ​​​​​​​
