If a course is not full at the start of term, it may still be possible to enrol.

You may enrol for yourself and one other person at the Golden Lane Community Centre during enrolment weeks.

If you can't make it, you may nominate another person to enrol for you. Remember to sign the back page of the enrolment form. Failure to do so may result in you not securing your place on a course.

You may be eligible if you can prove you are over 60, or are in receipt of:

  • Employment and support allowance or Jobseeker's Allowance
  • Income support
  • Working Tax Credit (with a household income of less than £15,276)
  • Housing or Council Tax benefit/support
  • Universal Credit (conditions apply)

Please note the funding body does not allow us to accept the following:

  • Incapacity Benefit
  • Disability Living Allowance
  • Child Tax Credit
  • Carer's Allowance

Funding for international students

You will be considered as an international student if you do not normally reside in the UK, European Union or European Economic Area for three years before the start of your course, or if you have any restrictions on your stay.

We charge a higher overseas/international course fee based on course duration if you do not meet these criteria. Contact the Centre Administrator on 020 7332 3918 or 020 7608 2753 if you are not sure whether you are eligible for government funding.

Funding for young learners

If you are aged between 19 and 23 and do not currently hold a full Level 2 qualification or above, you may be entitled to free tuition regardless of your employment or income status.

A full Level 2 qualifications is 5 GCSEs A*-C, NVQ2 or equivalent.

Learners aged 24 and over who are interested in enrolling on a Level 3 Diploma for Children and Young People's Workforce, may be eligible for a loan to cover the full cost of the course.

Loans are available from the Student Loans Company. More information will be provided at the pre-course assessment.
