AAT Level 2

​The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) is the UK's leading professional Accounting body. AAT qualifications are internationally respected and recognised. AAT qualified candidates are regularly sought after by many employers. The Level 2 Certificate in Accounting covers a range of basic accounting practices and techniques including double entry bookkeeping, costing, computerised accounts. These are designed to be practical and work relevant skills.

In this qualification you will cover higher accounting tasks including:

  • Financial Statements of Limited Companies
  • Management Accounting : Budgeting
  • Management Accounting Decision and Controls
  • Accounting Systems and Controls (Synoptic Assessment)
  • Any two of the following optional units: Business Tax, Person al Tax, External Auditing and Credit Management and Cash and Treasury Management.

First steps into computing

This course will focus on your key needs and every learner will travel at their own speed. The course is targeted at beginners and near beginners who are struggling with folders, emails, the internet, social media, online shopping and will help you to create simple word and excel documents.

Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools Level 2

​The course will enable you to gain valuable experience in a primary or secondary school. It gives you the skills and knowledge you need to take part in a range of classroom support activities. There is a practical assessment carried out by a qualified assessor in a work setting.

Entry requirements are a College interview and assessment, plus a Level 1 qualification. You will need to find your own placement and have completed a DBS check prior to starting the course. You will attend knowledge sessions one day a week and will be in a voluntary or paid setting 12 hours a week.

Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools Level 3

​This full Level 3 Certificate course is the natural progression for those who have achieved the Level 2 qualification.

The course will build your confidence and awareness around your role and responsibilities, as well as equipping you with a range of skills, knowledge and experiences to enable you to excel in your job. You must be working in Primary or Secondary education (not Early Years) for a minimum of eight hours a week.
