WELCOME is City of London’s latest Erasmus+ project.

We are working with partners in Czech Republic, France, Italy and Sweden to create a Toolkit for community groups and other agencies who want to set-up language learning clubs for migrants, refugees and asylum seekers who speak little or none of the partner country’s language.

Across the world many hundreds of thousands of people are migrating from their homelands to new lives in the European Union. Some have excellent language skills but for others learning a new language can be tough.

The WELCOME project has been designed to help those people who speak little or none of the language of the country they live in - whether they have been living there for a long time or only recently arrived. The project is creating an online Toolkit and other resources to enable community groups to start their own Language Learning Clubs – ultimately we hope this will be the start of a network of clubs across the EU.

Visit our website Welcome languages for the latest news and updates.

WELCOME is a new project funded by the European Union Erasmus+ programme. We will be developing and testing the language clubs between January 2017 and October 2018.
