Do you need information on designing for accessibility?

The City of London produces design guidance indicating the standards necessary to provide inclusive and independent access for all, including disabled people. Designing an Accessible City contains information on statutory and legal obligations relating to access for disabled people as well as outlining the City of London's planning policies on the provision of access and facilities in developments in the Square Mile. It also gives practical design guidance in the form of text and diagrams to indicate how inclusive access can be provided.

A new on-line version of Designing an Accessible City with the latest policy and legislative guidance will be available soon. Most of the content in part two of the 2006 (2nd edition) is still valid and therefore this is provided at the link below and will gradually be replaced over the next few months.
