Avondale Square Estate
Constructed between 1958 and 1962 and situated on Old Kent Road in the Borough of Southwark, Avondale is the City of London's largest estate, containing 680 homes. The area the estate occupied has belonged to the City since 1251, and was originally known as Twelve Acres.
The estate office is situated at Twelve Acres House which is on the Old Kent Road side of the estate. There is also sheltered housing on the estate, Harman Close.

The estate has a community centre located in Twelve Acres House, contact the estate team to book the space.
Walkabouts and drop-ins are your opportunity to speak to your estate team to ask any questions or offer any suggestions to improve life on your estate. All residents are welcome.
For the walkabouts, residents can join estate staff on a walk around the estate where any areas of concern can be pointed out and discussed. Drop-ins will take place inside the Community Centre and also offer residents a chance to sit down with estate staff.
