Activities for under fives

A young woman with long brown hair is reading a book to a young boy and girl.

If your children are under five years old, our libraries provide regular fun sessions run by experienced and trained staff for parents, carers and their children.

Rhymetime is a great opportunity for children to experience stories, rhymes and music with their parents or carers in a relaxed atmosphere.

Stay and play sessions allow children to enjoy a selection of toys in a relaxed environment and it is a good opportunity to meet other families.

Storytime is a fun session for all pre-school children and a good way for young children to begin socialising with other children.

Messy play sessions allow under fives to get creative and messy in the library. We advise wearing old clothes and bringing along a change of clothes

Baby bounce is a friendly, fun group for pre-walking babies and their carers which includes singing!
