Creechurch Conservation Area consultation

The City of London Corporation is proposing a new conservation area in and around Creechurch, to be known as Creechurch Conservation Area.

The public consultation has closed and we are reviewing the consultation responses. The consultation results and relevant conclusions will be presented to the Planning and Transportation Committee on 12 December 2023.

Three different potential boundaries were set out (see the documents below).

Options

Option 1

The City Corporation assessed the area and Option 1 is its suggested boundary.

Option 2

Option 2 is the same as Option 1 with 31 Bury Street added.

Option 3

Option 3 is proposed by Bevis Marks Synagogue. This option includes the same area as Option 2 with the addition of the buildings to the north of Bevis Marks/Duke’s Place, 1 Creechurch Lane and Cunard House at 88 Leadenhall Street. The Synagogue commissioned two independent consultants, Alec Forshaw and Esther Robinson Wild, to provide its assessment.
