Poultry Taxi Rank Clearway and changes to Bank Traffic Restriction

The City of London Corporation is proposing to provide a taxi rank clearway at a new taxi rank on Poultry and relocate the start of the Bank Traffic Restriction on Poultry.

The taxi rank clearway is proposed to ensure the taxi rank which is being provided on the north side of Poultry outside The Ned London is available for use by taxis only, in order that it can operate effectively and provide benefits as intended. This provision will increase the number of taxi ranks in the area, which will make it easier and more convenient for people in the local area wishing to travel by taxi.

The Road Closure restriction, which applies to motor vehicles on Poultry, is being moved closer to Bank Junction to allow taxis to access the taxi rank and the associated clearway that is being implemented on the north side of Poultry to the east of Grocer’s Hall Court.
