Widegate Street experimental traffic order

Date updated: 30/03/2023

The City of London Corporation introduced an experimental timed road closure on Widegate Street on 21 July 2022. This provides a vehicle free, safer, cleaner environment, which enhances safety and comfort for pedestrians. The closure restricts all vehicles (including pedal cycles) from entering Widegate Street Monday-Sunday, between 11.30am-9pm. The documents relating to this are at the end of the page.

The Experimental Traffic Order will expire on 21 Dec 2023

More documents are available for public inspection at the Planning Enquiry Desk, North Wing, Guildhall, London, EC2V 7HH during normal office hours on Monday-Fridays.

You can ask for more information and copies of the documents by emailing the Network Performance Team or by calling 020 7606 3030.
