This is an unprecedented time, and as employers, we know the importance of supporting staff to navigate the unknown. To do this, we would like to share a list of free resources that may help you and your staff during this challenging time. Many employers are working tirelessly to ensure that those who cannot ‘exceed’ during these times are supported, with their mental health, their financial health and their digital health. In months to come, firms who look after their employees now will emerge as leaders, they will attract the talent they need to be globally competitive. However, we know that this is not easy. Looking longer term, this period of home working may change the way our sector operates. To remain globally competitive, we must be ready for that.

On the 28th April, The Education Secretary launched “The Skills Toolkit”a new online platform giving people access to free, top-quality digital and numeracy courses to help build up their skills, progress in work and boost their job prospects. The new platform enables anyone who would like to use it to grow these essential skills while they are staying at home. The Skills Toolkit is a first step towards longer-term recovery, helping everyone start to build up the key skills they need.
