The City of London Corporation manages a dedicated programme of engagement with India. This programme is facilitated through the Corporation’s representative office in Mumbai, established in 2007.
The India programme aims to promote UK-based financial services firm who have a vested interest in India, and Indian firms who want to do business in the UK. Through our dialogue and engagement with industry and government the Corporation aims to strengthen business links between the two countries and boost trade of FPS.
The City of London Corporation well-established presence in the UK and Mumbai provides us with excellent connections into firms, policymakers, regulators and other key stakeholders. We also hold frequent events and work programmes that include key stakeholders across the FPS sector in the UK and India.
The Corporation’s work is supported by the City of London India Advisory Council (IAC), established in 2007 – The IAC help to steer the Corporation’s engagement with India. The IAC is made up of senior representatives from across India’s Financial and Professional Services industry. The group meet annually to review the work of the Corporation as it relates to FPS and India, and to establish priority work streams for the Corporation in its engagement with India.
