Site facilities

Cemetery Main Entrance

Cars

We have plenty of parking for those attending funerals or visiting the Cemetery.  Please check with our Information and Security team upon arrival and you will be directed to the most convenient place to park your car. Please observe our rules and regulations with regards to speed limits within the Cemetery.

Regular visitors will require a car permit to enter and drive around the Cemetery. Please ensure you have applied for and are displaying the relevant permit upon arrival.

Vehicle restrictions

Private cars are not permitted into the Cemetery on Sunday (after 1pm), except those attending funerals. We provide a free regular minibus service (with full DDA access) from the main gate for all visitors convenience, please ask a member of our Information and Security team at the Gatehouse for more information.

Facilities in our grounds

We have a number of facilities within our grounds to ensure that all our visitors are comfortable and enjoy their experience. These include:

  • A permanent and visible Information and Security team
  • Administration Office - where our Bereavement Services team are located
  • Gatehouse Florist - a range of flowers and funeral services offered
  • Plenty of car parking
  • Toilets throughout our grounds
  • Baby changing facilities
  • Shelters and seating throughout our grounds
  • Water points throughout our grounds
  • First Aid trained staff on site
  • Maps for visitor navigation
  • Literature about the Cemetery (available from the bereavement services office
  • Details and information about our heritage/wildlife walks
  • 365 day a year access
  • Grave Care Schemes

Facilities for disabled visitors

The following facilities for disabled visitors are available on request (please let us know in advance by contacting the Bereavement Services team on 020 8530 2151 or cemetery@cityoflondon.gov.uk)

  • Wheelchairs and mobility scooters may be borrowed from the main gate
  • For those with a hearing impairment, all our chapels and a desk in the Bereavement Services office are fitted with an induction loop
  • A Crystal Listener is available for use in our Administration office (with or without a hearing aid)
  • Service books are available in braille
  • Literature is available in large print upon request
