Kenley Revival Learning Festival

The Kenley Revival Project is organising a free annual Learning Festival between Monday 26 June until Friday 30 June 2017. It invites primary and secondary school students to take part in WW2 and STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) learning activities and workshops on site at Britain’s best preserved fighter airfield. This unique setting allows learners to complement their classroom learning with hand-on activities, engages them with WW2 heritage and offers the opportunity to explore Kenley Common.

Have a look at the Kenley Revival Education Programme and learn more about our online learning resources, school assemblies or our on-site WW2 and nature workshops.

Remembrance Sunday

To commemorate Remembrance Day on Sunday 13 November 2016, the Kenley Revival Project  worked with a member of the Kenley Airfield Friends Group to create infographics detailing the lives of seven Kenley pilots who served during the Battle of Britain and their service as a symbol of the many lives lost in conflict.

Kenley Heritage Day

A day full of fun, fascinating things to see and do for all ages.

On 11 September 2016 the annual Heritage Day was packed full of exciting stalls and activities. More than 2000 visitors joined us for the event and learnt about the Kenley Revival Project. Visitors had their photo taken in a replica Spitfire or Hurricane planes. They also saw inside the WWII shelter, and enjoyed a trip on the land train around the airfield perimeter. The 1940s food tasting and the Jazz band made it a perfect family day out.

Thank you to the Kenley Airfield Friends Group, Portcullis Club, the Focus School and our outstanding volunteers for making the day a success. Please email us at with your feedback about the event and sign up to our e-newsletter.
