Festival Gardens

The City Gardens Team work closely with schools within and on the boundary of the Square Mile, this has included:

  • Running an insect hotel painting and drawing competition for local schools, sponsored by the Worshipful Company of Gardeners.
  • Planting tree whips at Fann Street wildlife garden as part of the Queen's Jubilee Tree planting project by the Woodland Trust
  • Creating a wildlife area at Bunhill Fields with school children 
  • Planting Festival Gardens as part of the St Paul’s Coach park project with local school children.

The city gardens team work closely with schools in the City of London, to improve the City Gardens for wildlife and to improve the schools local environment.

Need help with costs for your visit?

You can apply to the City of London School Visits Fund for a grant of up to £300 to help with costs for visiting selected green spaces. Visit the School Visits Fund website to learn more.
