​​Children's play facilities

There are equipped play provision including more naturalistic play features installed as part of the Play Builder project; in the following City Gardens and open spaces:

  • Tower Hill Gardens
  • West Smithfield Rotunda Garden
  • Portsoken Street
  • St Peters Hill Walkway: metallic urban play features added along the walkway for explorative play.

Hire a Garden

Many of our Gardens are also available to hire for small events. Find out more on our events and green space hire page.

Tree Trail

Explore the City with our tree trail leaflet. Two walks have been designed: one, winding through the City and the other along the river taking you past our important trees. Visit the City Information Centre next to St Paul's Cathedral to pick up a leaflet.

Tennis and netball court​

Located in St Botolphs without Bishopgate gardens this facility is maintained by the church. The Tennis and Netball Court is open all year, contact the St Botolph Bishopgate Church to make a booking. The period October to May is for netball bookings only and May to October for tennis and netball. The court is available between 8am and 9pm Monday to Friday with sessions of one hour duration. Between 12noon and 2pm each session is of half an hour starting on the hour and half past the hour.
