Epping Forest Visitor Centre
Epping Forest Visitor Centre, situated at High Beach, is a great place to picnic and an ideal stop on your way through the Forest. Volunteers are on hand to help you, with maps, leaflets, souvenirs, events and lots of information on the Forest's wildlife.
Epping Forest Visitor Centre is operated by the Friends of Epping Forest on behalf of the City of London.
Entry is free of charge.
Please note that Epping Forest Visitor Centre will be closed on 2 March and 3 March 2017 for maintenance. We apologise for any inconvenience.
April to October: 10am - 4pm, Thursday to Sunday plus bank holidays
November to March: 10am - 3pm, Thursday to Sunday plus bank holidays.
All of our centres close on Christmas Day.

Epping Forest Visitor Centre is the perfect place to get up close and personal with the wildlife living in Epping Forest. You can watch birds and squirrels enjoying tasty snacks, and find out about the different types of animals who have made Epping Forest their home - see how many different birds, butterflies and mammals you can spot!
Don’t forget to visit our forest shop, where you can buy gifts and traditional toys, as well as a wide range of maps and guide books.
And we’re also doing our bit to recycle your old books! So browse our 'Spread the Word' Shelf or donate us your unwanted novels or other books to share with our visitors.
