Face painting at Queens Park

Queen's Park is popular for sports and recreational activities and plays a crucial role in providing healthy living and wellbeing opportunities in the community. The park has six all-weather tarmac tennis courts and a nine hole pitch and putt course. The park is a great place to walk and jog. Furthermore, the park has some excellent children's play facilities, including a paddling pool and sandpit.

Get further information and prices for sports at Queen's Park by calling 020 8969 5661.

Pets' corner

Pets' corner opens at 11am every day throughout the year except at summer weekends and Bank Holidays when it opens at 1pm. It closes an hour before the park up to its latest closing time of 7pm. Anyone can visit, but we do not allow food or dogs.

Tennis courts

Please see our dedicated tennis page for information on tennis at Queen's Park.

Pitch and putt course

The pitch and putt course is located at the rear of the tennis courts. There is no advance booking system for use of the pitch and putt course, so players can pay and play when they arrive. Golf clubs and balls can be hired from the hut located at the rear of the café. The busiest times tend to be afternoons and early evenings, particularly in summer. The last round of pitch and putt is at 7pm.

Pitch and putt costs £6 per round, or £3.50 for children, OAPs, students and the unemployed. There is also a refundable deposit of £4.50 per person for clubs and balls.

Schools sports

Schools or educational institutions wishing to use the park for sports activities should contact us to book an area. We do not charge for the use of unmarked areas; however, there is a minimal charge for marked out areas.

Schools are also able to book tennis courts.

Telephone 020 8969 5661 for school bookings.

Children's playground and sandpit

The playground opens at 7am and closes 30 minutes before the park closes.

The sandpit opens at 7am and closes one hour before the park closes.

Children must be accompanied by adults. No dogs, ball games or cycling.

Children's paddling pool

The paddling pool is open annually from Spring Bank Holiday weekend at the end of May, until the first Sunday in September. The paddling pool opens at 12pm and closes at 5pm. Children (maximum age of 12) must be accompanied by an adult.

We run a host of events for adults, children and families throughout the summer.
