Teachers and lecturers

  •
    University visit to Guildhall Library

We hold a wealth of resources, printed and digital, that can aid teachers and lecturers when planning lessons. Although our main focus is on London History, recent student visits include those studying architecture, art and design, business history, English, creative writing, geography, mathematics, politics, and theology.

If our existing collections visits are not relevant, it is possible to create your own according to the subject focus of your students. While the lecturer/teacher will be responsible for the lesson, from ordering the materials to explaining their relevance, a librarian will be on hand to facilitate the collections session.

All materials must be ordered in advance of your visit using the online library catalogue (maximum 20 items). To help your visit to Guildhall Library be as productive and useful as possible, why not give us a call on 020 7332 1868 to see what we can offer you.

Duration

  • Full two hour session - this includes an introduction to the library, practical catalogue-searching session and a collections session.
  • Shorter visits are possible if only a brief introduction is required and/or if the catalogue-searching session is not required.

Group size: minimum six maximum 30
