Bust of John Keats

Help us keep Keats's legacy alive

Keats House has begun a fundraising campaign to ensure the future upkeep of the building and its year-round programme of events for adults, families and school children.

Keats House is a Registered Charity (number 1053381). The Corporation of London assumed management of Keats House in 1998 and carried out careful, detailed restoration of this fragile house. Over the past few years, the Corporation's income has declined, leading to significant budget cuts. Keats House is only one of many historical monuments, houses and museums under its umbrella. Keats House income from admissions and shop sales represents less than 10% of its running costs.

At the heart of the campaign is the need for regular supporters.

Our local place of worldwide significance

Keats House is an attraction of worldwide significance located on a quiet residential street in Hampstead. A group of local residents has spearheaded the first year of this campaign. We are delighted that Lord Melvyn Bragg is Chairman of our Patrons.

Our supporters

The interiors have recently been repainted thanks to the generosity of the Farrow and Ball showroom in Hampstead.
