Call for Contributions LGBTQ+ History Programme at London Metropolitan Archives

The SpeakOut are looking for contributors to LMA’s long running LGBTQ+ history activity programme. We run two monthly sessions. On the first Wednesday of the month 6-7.30pm and the second Saturday of the month 11am–1pm.

Past topics have ranged from cruising to marriage equality, section 28 to pride, and medieval court cases to contemporary collecting. Activities have included creative writing, film screenings, book readings, document viewings, music and theatre.

These are just examples and we are always looking for new ways of exploring all aspects of LGBTQ+ history.

If you would like to offer a talk, a workshop, show a film or anything else then please get in touch. We’re very keen to present a programme which is celebratory but also challenging and opens up debate.  Please feel free to be as informal, experimental, and even controversial as you please with ideas.

If you would like to offer a contribution or find out more, please contact Tom Furber
