Illuminated River
Illuminated River is a long-term art installation transforming the capital at night with an orchestrated series of light works that span along the Thames. Its subtly moving sequences of LED light symbolically unify central London’s bridges, drawing inspiration from the spirit and history of the river and from the architectural and engineering heritage of its bridges.
You can enjoy the illuminations by following the Thames Path, or by joining a City of London guide on an Illuminated River Official Boat Tour run by Uber Boat by Thames Clippers.
At 3.2 miles in length, Illuminated River spans from London Bridge to Lambeth Bridge, making it the longest public art project commission in the world. Visit the Illuminated river website for more information.
