Sublime Competition Terms & Conditions

Sublime Symmetry Competition Terms & Conditions:

  1. Entrants must be aged between: 6-12 years old at the time of entry to participate in the children’s’ colouring-in competition. OR between 13-16 years old at the time of entry to participate in the young adult’s artistic interpretation competition.
  2. Entrants must be residents in the United Kingdom.
  3. Only original artworks entered by the participant or participant’s family will be considered.
  4. To enter participants must take a clear photograph of their work and either: send it via email to demorgan@cityoflondon.gov.uk
  5. OR post it to Twitter or the Guildhall Art Gallery Facebook page from their personal accounts using the hashtag “#MyDeMorgan”.
  6. Participants (children and parents or guardians) agree that (should they win): 
  7. The original artwork that the participant created for the competition will be displayed in the exhibition from July to the end of the exhibition run on 28 October 2018, when it will be returned to them.
  8. To attend in person a weekday afternoon or morning event between 20 July and 20 August 2018 (date to be agreed with City of London Corporation) at Guildhall Art Gallery’s Sublime Symmetry exhibition to see their work displayed at the participants own expense.
  9. On the agreed date, the winning child and parent or guardian will be photographed and interviewed on camera. All photographs, video and information collected on this day can be used by City of London Corporation and its partners for marketing activity including PR and social media.
  10. City of London Corporation have the right to withdraw any offer to have their work displayed in the exhibition should the winning child and parent or guardian not agree to attend Guildhall Art Gallery’s Sublime Symmetry exhibition in July or to be photographed or interviewed on camera.
  11. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
  12. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  13. Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
  14. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  15. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
  16. The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
  17. The winner will be notified by DM on Twitter/Facebook or by email. If the winner cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
  18. The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected.
  19. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  20. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  21. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
  22. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
