Lord Mayor's Show

Save the date for the biggest day in the City’s calendar

Saturday 14 November is the date for this year’s Lord Mayor’s Show when 7,000 people, 200 horses and around 150 floats will accompany the Lord Mayor in a three mile-long procession to mark his first full day in office.

Thousands of onlookers will line the route – from Mansion House to the Royal Courts of Justice and back – to enjoy the spectacle and welcome the new Lord Mayor, travelling in the gleaming state coach.

As ever the Show will be a vibrant mix of sights and sounds as all the different elements that go to make the Square Mile unique come together – from the military to modern companies, from livery companies to schools, and from charities to trade associations – to celebrate the day.

Alongside the procession, for the second time, Paternoster Square and Bloomberg Arcade will host the Show Zones. A full programme of entertainment and activities will be running in both locations, kicking off at around 12noon and running until around 5pm, with the entertainment carefully planned around the procession, so the audience enjoy both aspects. The Show Zones will provide free, family friendly entertainment, with performances from a host of local bands, choirs, dancers and activities such as face painting, walking tours and craft workshops. Other attractions include exciting fairground rides in St Paul’s Churchyard and food stalls in Paternoster Square.
