Shrieval Activity - 2025/26
The role of the two Sheriffs of the City of London is based around two key tenets: to form an integral part of the City of London Corporation’s Civic Team in support of the Lady Mayor; and to support and uphold the rule of law as custodians of the Old Bailey.
Through their role, and in support of the Modern Mayoralty programme, the Sheriffs will host and support a range of events and engagement across the course of their year in office, including the Justice for All event series.
The Modern Mayoralty programme, consists of four pillars: Global Leadership; Reputation; Business Growth; and Social Impact.
Justice for All is a landmark evening event series centred on the Old Bailey, the world’s most iconic criminal court. Across five separate invitation-only events, leaders from across law, politics, business, academia and civil society will come together to examine justice through a different lens – from historical foundations to funding models.
