Exhibition: James Brimble’s Picture Archive
James Brimble's book 'London's Epping Forest', is a beautiful portrait of the landscape he loved so well, and is as charming and informative as when it was first published in 1950.
The James Brimble Epping Forest Collection includes a range of restored images by James, most of which are previously unpublished. This includes both framed prints and a digital display of around 100 images of Epping Forest and the surrounding areas from the 1950s, 60s and 70s.
The exhibition also contains some of the original copper printing plates from his book, 'London's Epping Forest' - plus supporting material depicting his photographic legacy. This is a fascinating exploration of one man's remarkable relationship with the Forest.
The exhibition is free to enjoy and is open Tuesday to Sunday during Visitor Centre opening hours, as well as on Bank Holidays.
