How to contact us if you are deaf, hard-of-hearing or speech-impaired
Contact us using Relay UK: for people who are deaf, hard-of-hearing or speech-impaired
People who are deaf, hard of hearing or speech impaired can access services through our contact centre using the Text Relay service.
Text Relay offers text-to-speech and speech-to-text translation services.
There are two ways you can do this - using an app on your device or using a textphone.
Using the Relay UK app
Download the Relay UK app from the Apple App Store, Google Play or Microsoft Store on your device. This can be a smartphone, tablet, or computer.
Link your number to it to tell the app how you would like to use the service.
To contact us at the City of London Corporation, open the Relay UK app. Then enter the number 020 7606 3030. You will be connected to Relay UK.
The Relay Assistant will speak the words you type to the person you're calling.
The Relay Assistant will type their reply so you can read it on your display.
Using a textphone
The other way to use Relay UK is if you have a textphone. These are sometimes called a minicom or uniphone.
To contact us at the City of London Corporation, dial 18001 followed by our 020 7606 3030 number.
Once you're connected, you can type or speak your conversation. The Relay Assistant will type back anything the hearing person says.
The conversation will carry on this way until one of you ends the call.
