Charges are reviewed and increases implemented in April at the start of the financial year. There may be changes at other times and you should check this page regularly for updates.
We encourage you to pre-notify us of organic consignments using PHILIS DES. If you do not, there will be an additional charge of £15.84 and you must submit a hard copy of the organic pre-note form.

The London Port Health Authority is authorised to issue both certificates for vessels at all ports and terminals within its district. It can also extend existing certificates in certain circumstances. Please contact the appropriate port office giving as much notice as possible.

The London Port Health Authority operates between the core hours Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) 7am-7pm. Sanitation certificates can be arranged outside these hours but additional charges will apply.

The London Port Health Authority charges £138.63 as specified in Regulation 2017/625 specifically Article 79 paragraph 2 c) (ii)
There as been an increase in non compliance of feed and food imports from specific countries and the charge enables us to ensure the costs of our controls are specifically targeted at the relevant food businesses and person responsible for the load.
Where an import issue is identified, subsequent imports will have the charge automatically applied on the next 5 subsequent imports. The purpose of the subsequent checks is to assess the extent and the impact of the case of non-compliance or to verify that the non-compliance has been remedied.
