Safer City Streets: information, advice and support sessions
The City of London Corporation, City of London Police and local support and advocacy services are hosting informal sessions in a confidential space where you can learn about local support routes, ask questions and explore safety and responses relating to domestic abuse (DA) and violence against women and girls (VAWG) in the City.
This is open to residents, those who work or study the Square Mile, professionals and allies.

Our next drop-in session is at Portsoken Community Centre, 20 Little Somerset Street, E1 8AH on the 17 June from 12-2pm.
Come along to learn about:
- Local support services and referral pathways
- Building confidence in identifying and responding to violence against women and girls (VAWG) and domestic abuse
- The different forms of VAWG, including:
- Domestic abuse
- Sexual violence and exploitation
- Stalking
- Female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM)
- So-called ‘honour’-based abuse
- Forced marriage
- How and where to signpost those affected by VAWG
You'll also have an opportunity to speak to representatives from local victim support, advocacy and counselling services, the City of London Police and the City of London Corporation Community Safety team

The City of London Corporation Community Safety team, City of London Police, and Hackney and City Domestic Abuse Intervention Service (DAIS) are working in partnership to ensure our communities have opportunities to learn about VAWG and DA, what services are available to them and to meet those working in the services.
