There are many factors that can affect our health and wellbeing, amongst them are money worries, the cold weather and social isolation due to colder and shorter days.

On this page you will find support options that we hope will help you achieve a healthier and safer winter.

Find a warm space in the Square Mile and on our estates

We are working with community organisations and others to deliver warm spaces in the City of London and on City of London Corporation estates. Our community libraries always offer a warm welcome, support with computers, printers and scanners, and help with form filling and basic IT skills.

Staying warm and protecting yourself from COVID-19 and the Flu

We have a page dedicated to information around staying healthy during the winter (keeping Flu and COVID-19 at bay), other support around heating your home and more.

If you're feeling overwhelmed and just need someone to talk to, make a note of these numbers:

  • CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably): 0800 58 58
  • The Silver Line (over 55s): 0800 4 70 80 90
  • Papyrus (under 35s): 0800 068 41 41
  • Samaritans: 116 123

Taking care of your mental health

Mental wellbeing means more than just not having a mental health problem; it refers to our ability to get the most out of life and cope with its challenges.

Take a look at our Mental health and wellbeing page for information about what steps you can take to look after your mental health and support a healthy mind.

Take part in a range of free activities for your mental wellbeing, or just relax and meditate at the Dragon Cafe in the City (every second Wednesday).

Social wellbeing

Loneliness is a growing social issue which can have a significant impact on your physical and mental health.

Visit our Social wellbeing page for information about our City Connections service and support available.
