Household Support Fund
Date updated: 12/12/2025
The Household Support Fund is funded by the UK Government for local authorities across the UK to support households who are struggling to pay household bills. We are using this funding to provide you with the following support:
- Emergency help with food and fuel costs: If you are in receipt of a means-tested benefit or if you earn under £30,000. You can apply for this support through the City of London Emergency Support Scheme.
- Help with utility bills: If you are in debt or unable to pay your utility bill, you can apply for help, you will need to download the application form and return your completed form and supporting documents by email or post. If you are unable to download the form, contact the Benefits Team on 020 7332 3937 or by email and the form will be sent by post.
- Additional funding for City of London School Uniform Grants scheme: Families with qualifying children and who are in receipt of Universal Credit are now eligible regardless of their earnings level.
Funding is also used to support organisations and City of London Corporation teams currently working with City residents who need extra support by providing additional funding or vouchers to support residents using their services.
