Kick the habit

If you live, work, or study in the City and are looking to quit smoking, read the Pharmacy Services section below, or speak to your GP or pharmacist.

As of 30 September 2020 the existing Stop Smoking Service has paused temporarily. The City of London Corporation aims to better meet the needs of residents and City workers and will be completing a consultation as part of the service redesign.

Pharmacy Services

Boots are able to provide the following services to City residents and workers who want to kick the habit:

  • A free online consultation through Boots online clinics. If the treatment is deemed suitable for you, you’ll get access to a starter pack, including Champix
  • Direction to NHS resources
  • NRT (Nicotine Replacement Therapy)

If you usually pay for your prescriptions some of these services will come at a cost.

You will be eligible for a free treatment plan/starter pack if you don’t usually pay for your prescriptions.
