Carers Week, taking place 8 to 14 June, is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face, and recognise the vital contribution they make to families and communities across the UK. It also helps people who may not identify as carers to recognise their role and access the support available to them.

This year’s theme, Building Carer Friendly Communities, focuses on creating places where carers feel recognised, valued and supported. We’re proud to support the campaign each year.

Imago, the City of London’s commissioned carers support service, has worked with partners to put together a range of events to mark the week.

This year’s programme begins on 8 June at 11am with a Carers Week webinar hosted by Imago, featuring Councillor Anne Corbett; and Judith Finlay, Executive Director of Community and Children's Services, at the City Corporation.

Our Carers Strategy 2023-27 has been created, in partnership with carers, to ensure that carers are identified and supported through the complexities of their caring journey and to deal with the impact caring can have on their own health and wellbeing.
