Heavy Goods Vehicle Safety Standards
Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) over 12 tonnes need an HGV Safety Permit managed by Transport for London. Without one, you may receive a Penalty Charge Notice.

The City of London Corporation manages most streets in the Square Mile, as the Highway Authority. The exceptions include Transport for London’s ‘Red Routes’, which are managed by Transport for London.
