Fibre-to-the-cabinet and Fibre-to-the-premises

Whilst the City has 10 Fibre optic networks, many of these provide high-end business grade services which are not affordable for small businesses and residents.

The City Property Advisory team (CPAT) worked with broadband operators in the Square Mile to deliver improved, faster broadband services at affordable prices for small businesses and residents during 2018.

There are currently two types of faster broadband technology being rolled out in the Square Mile, these are FTTC and FTTP.

How do I get superfast broadband?

​​First find out if you are in a superfast area by using the BT Fibre Checker.

Then, check with your internet service provider about the offers available to you. Remember - you can always shop around with different providers.
