A'Red Heat-health alert' has been issued. It is in effect from 24 June 2026 at 1am to 26 June 2026 at 11pm. Read about keeping safe in hot weather.

Dedicated to Saint Alban and of medieval origin, it was rebuilt in 1634, destroyed in the Great Fire of London in 1666. Rebuilt again, this time to a Gothic design by Sir Christopher Wren.

It was then severely damaged by bombing during the Second World War, once the ruins were cleared, only the tower survived, which remains marooned within the City.
