St Bartholomew the Less
St Bartholomew the Great
One of London's oldest churches, founded in 1123 as an Augustinian Priory. St Barts has been in continuous use as a place of worship since at least 1143, surviving the Great Fire of 1666, the bombs dropped in Zeppelin raids in World War I and during the Blitz in World War II.
The church is also home to several pieces of contemporary art, including 'Exquisite Pain' by Damien Hirst.
