Ashtead Common is home to over 1,000 ancient oak pollard trees, an unusually large population of international significance. These trees provide living space for a wide variety of species, some of which are rare.

Ashtead Common's historic wood pasture landscape also supports a variety of open, transitional and wetland habitats, making it an incredible resource for wildlife and providing people the opportunity to experience and enjoy nature.

Ashtead Common is managed by the City of London Corporation which is a registered charity (number 1051510). You can help keep Ashtead Common special by making a donation or leaving a legacy in your will.
